Kelsie + Dakota
Here it is... My heartfelt post.
I met Kelsie in the 2nd grade when we both moved to the same school. As we grew older we became closer and eventually made it all the way to our high school graduation. In that time of getting to know each other, our group of friends came to the conclusion that our Kelsie would never get married, despite anything she said stating otherwise.
The day came when I got a text saying something along the lines of, "Hey, I'm on the road, not sure where I'm headed, but I'll let you know when I get there." At the point no thoughts of marriage came to my head still...
Then came the day when I got a text saying something along the lines of, "Hey I'm getting married."
At this point, I still hadn't met this guy and wasn't so sure about this seemingly sudden engagement. I first met this Dakota guy when they came driving up to my house and got out of the car... Kelsie introduced him to me... He seemed okay. As I sat there meeting with them discussing all of the little details of their wedding, he seemed cooler as we went on. We left to go film their engagement video and by the end of the night I was sure... This was the guy Kelsie was really going to marry. I couldn't believe it. How did she manage to find such an amazing guy like Dakota?!
Long story short, over a few more times of meeting with them and getting to know Dakota, I was able to refer to him as a friend.
Dakota is the perfect man for my crazy friend and I'm so incredibly happy that I was able to share their day with them. I am so proud of Kelsie and SO happy for these two wonderful people.
As do many of my couples, Kelsie and Dakota have moved off to California and they are living their lives out together in that super nice weather :) Can't wait to share some beautiful images from my visit with them whenever that is!!
Here's to a lifetime of marriage between these two. Always remember to keep God first in your home and remember your friend Amber back here in Oklahoma too ;)
